LSS Judicial Council
The disciplinary and adjudicatory body of the Law Students’ Society, tasked with upholding the Constitution and promoting fairness within the community.
The LSS Judicial Council interprets the Constitution of the Law Students’ Society and adjudicates disputes arising within the Society. It also hears petitions, disciplinary matters, and electoral disputes involving LSS officers or members.
In carrying out its duties, the Council is expected to maintain impartiality, respect due process, and reflect the values of justice and integrity taught by the Faculty of Law.

Council Structure

Chief Judge

Filing a Complaint or Petition
Members may be required to submit a written petition or complaint addressed to the Chief Judge of the LSS Judicial Council through the Faculty of Law or the LSS Secretariat. The petition should clearly state the facts, issues and reliefs sought.
Hearings & Decisions
Upon receipt of a complaint, the Council may schedule a hearing, invite the parties, and review any documentary or oral evidence. Decisions of the Council are typically communicated in writing and may be subject to provisions in the LSS Constitution.
